Text
(1)As used in this section:
(1)(a) "Local government" means a first class city located within a first class county.
(1)(b) "Project area" means the same as that term is defined in Section 63N-3-1401.
(2)The legislative body of the local government may impose a sales and use tax under this section if the legislative body, on or before December 31, 2024:
(2)(a) complies with the requirements of Title 63N, Chapter 3, Part 14, Capital City Revitalization Zone;
(2)(b) gives final approval to an application by giving final approval of a project zone and a participation agreement as provided in Section 63N-3-1406; and
(2)(c) imposes the tax according to the procedures and requirements of Section 63N-3-1406.
(3)(3)(a) The tax rate may not exceed .5%.
