Text

(1)The practice of haircutting includes:
(1)(a) cutting, clipping, or trimming the hair of the head of an individual by using scissors, shears, clippers, or other appliances;
(1)(b) engaging in draping, shampooing, scalp treatments, basic wet styling, and blow drying;
(1)(c) hair fusing and extensions; and
(1)(d) when providing other services described in this Subsection (1), gently massaging the head, back of the neck, and shoulders by manual or mechanical means.
(2)An individual may not engage in the practice of haircutting unless the individual holds a haircutting permit.
(3)An applicant for a haircutting permit shall comply with the requirements of Section 58-11a-302 and:
(3)(a) attend a licensed or recognized school and complete a curriculum that:
