Text

(1)(1)(a) Before excavating, an excavator shall notify each operator with an underground facility in the area of the proposed excavation.
(1)(b) The requirements of Subsection (1)(a) do not apply:
(1)(b)(i) if there is an emergency;
(1)(b)(ii) while gardening; or
(1)(b)(iii) while tilling private ground.
(2)The notice required by Subsection (1) shall:
(2)(a) be given:
(2)(a)(i) by telephone;
(2)(a)(ii) by electronic communication; or
(2)(a)(iii) by other means acceptable to the association;
(2)(b) be given not:
(2)(b)(i) less than 48 hours before excavation begins; or
(2)(b)(ii) more than 14 days before excavation begins; and
(2)(c) include the proposed excavation's anticipated:
(2)(c)(i) location, with reasonable specificity;
(2)(c)(ii) dimensions; and
(2)(c)(iii) type.
