Text
(1)An institution shall appoint members of the police or security department of the institution.
(2)Upon appointment, members described in Subsection (1) are peace officers and have all the powers of police in cities and of sheriffs, including the power to make arrests on view or on warrant of violation of state statutes and city or county ordinances.
(3)Members of the police or security department of any institution also have the power to enforce all rules and regulations that the institution or the board promulgates as related to the institution.
