Text
(1)The board shall appoint a president for each technical college in accordance with Section 53H-3-302.
(2)A technical college president is the chief executive officer of the technical college.
(3)A technical college president:
(3)(a) does not need to have a doctorate degree; and
(3)(b) shall have extensive experience in career and technical education.
(4)In addition to the duties described in Section 53H-3-303, a technical college president shall:
(4)(a) after consulting with the board, other institutions of higher education, school districts, and charter schools within the technical college's region, prepare a comprehensive strategic plan for delivering technical education within the region;
(4)(b) consult with business, industry, the Department of Workforce Services, the Governor's
