(1)(1)(a) Except as provided in this Subsection (1), a member of a technical college board of trustees is appointed to a four-year term.
(1)(b) The governor may appoint a member described in Subsection 53H-3-205(2)(c) to a two-year term to ensure that the terms of approximately half of the members described in Subsection 53H-3-205(2)(c) expire every other year.
(1)(c) When a vacancy occurs in the membership of a technical college board of trustees, the appointing authority for the vacant position described in Section 53H-3-205 shall appoint a replacement for the remainder of the term.
(1)(d) An appointed member holds office until a successor is appointed in accordance with Section 53H-3-205.
