Text
(1)A cooperative education program is established within the Utah System of Higher Education beginning July 1, 2025 and ending December 31, 2027.
(2)The purpose of the co-op is to:
(2)(a) provide students with structured, credit-bearing cooperative education opportunities that align with academic disciplines, program accreditation requirements, and career outcomes while maintaining full-time student status;
(2)(b) foster partnerships between higher education institutions and employers to offer valuable employment opportunities;
(2)(c) establish clear roles and responsibilities for participating institutions and employers; and
(2)(d) maintain accountability and program effectiveness through regular evaluation.
