(1)(1)(a) (1)(a)(i) The commissioner of higher education, under the direction of the board shall develop, establish, and maintain an Engineering and Computer Science Initiative within the state system of higher education to increase the number of graduates in engineering, computer science, and related technology.
(1)(a)(ii) The commissioner of higher education, under the direction of the board shall make rules in accordance with Title 63G, Chapter 3, Utah Administrative Rulemaking Act, providing the criteria for those fields of study that qualify as "related technology" under this section and Section 53H-1-603.
