§ 53G-9-801 — Definitions.

As used in Section 53G-9-802:

(1)"Attainment goal" means earning:
(1)(a) a high school diploma;
(1)(b) a Utah High School Completion Diploma, as defined in state board rule made in accordance with Title 63G, Chapter 3, Utah Administrative Rulemaking Act;
(1)(c) an Adult Education Secondary Diploma, as defined in state board rule made in accordance with Title 63G, Chapter 3, Utah Administrative Rulemaking Act; or
(1)(d) an employer-recognized, industry-based certificate that is:
(1)(d)(i) likely to result in job placement; and
(1)(d)(ii) included in the state board's approved career and technical education industry certification list.
(2)"Cohort" means a group of students, defined by the year in which the group enters grade 9.
(3)"Designated student" means a student:
