Text

(1)A school shall:
(1)(a) notify a parent if the parent's student threatens suicide; or
(1)(b) notify the parents of each student involved in an incident and the action plan to address the incident.
(2)(2)(a) When a student threatens suicide or is involved in an incident, the school shall produce and maintain a record that:
(2)(a)(i) verifies that the school notified each parent in accordance with Subsection (1);
(2)(a)(ii) tracks implementation of the action plan addressing the incident, if applicable;
(2)(a)(iii) maintains a record described in Subsection (2)(a) in accordance with the requirements of:
(2)(a)(iii)(A) Title 53E, Chapter 9, Part 2, Student Privacy;
(2)(a)(iii)(B) Title 53E, Chapter 9, Part 3, Student Data Protection;
(2)(a)(iii)(C) the Family Educational Rights and Privac
