§ 53G-10-508 — Programs authorized -- Minimum standards.
Utah·Title 53G Public Education System -- Local Administration·Ch. 53G-10 Curriculum Participation and Requirements·Part 53G-10-5 Driver Education Classes
(1)A local education agency may:
(1)(a) allow a student to complete the classroom training portion of driver education through home study;
(1)(b) provide each parent with driver education instructional materials to assist in parent involvement with driver education including behind-the-wheel driving materials;
(1)(c) offer driver education outside of school hours in order to reduce the cost of providing driver education;
(1)(d) offer driver education through community education programs;
(1)(e) offer the classroom portion of driver education in the public schools and allow the student to complete the behind-the-wheel portion with a private provider:
(1)(e)(i) licensed under Section 53-3-504; and
(1)(e)(ii) not associated with the school or under contract with the school under Subsection
