Text
(1)Except as provided in Subsections (2) and (3), this part, Part 3, Concealed Firearm Permits, and Title 76, Chapter 11, Weapons, do not apply to any of the following:
(1)(a) a United States marshal;
(1)(b) a federal official required to carry a firearm;
(1)(c) a peace officer of any jurisdiction;
(1)(d) a law enforcement official with a certificate issued under Section 53-5a-311(4);
(1)(e) a judge with a certificate issued under Section 53-5a-311(4);
(1)(f) a court commissioner with a certificate issued under Section 53-5a-311(4); or
(1)(g) a common carrier while engaged in the regular and ordinary transport of firearms as merchandise.
(2)Subsection (1) does not apply to Section 76-11-207, 76-11-209, or 76-11-210.
(3)Notwithstanding Subsection (1), the provisions of Section 76-11-217
