Text

(1)The bureau shall establish and supervise a statewide stroke registry to:
(1)(a) analyze information on the incidence, severity, causes, outcomes, and rehabilitation of stroke;
(1)(b) promote optimal care for stroke patients;
(1)(c) alleviate unnecessary death and disability from stroke;
(1)(d) encourage the efficient and effective continuum of patient care, including prevention, prehospital care, hospital care, and rehabilitative care; and
(1)(e) minimize the overall cost of stroke.
(2)The bureau shall utilize the registry established under Subsection (1) to assess:
(2)(a) the effectiveness of the data collected by the registry; and
(2)(b) the impact of the statewide stroke registry on the provision of stroke care.
(3)(3)(a) The bureau shall make rules in accordance with Title 63G,
