Text

(1)To ensure quality emergency medical services, the bureau shall establish designation requirements for:
(1)(a) emergency medical service providers in the following categories:
(1)(a)(i) quick response provider;
(1)(a)(ii) resource hospital for emergency medical providers;
(1)(a)(iii) emergency medical service dispatch center;
(1)(a)(iv) emergency patient receiving facilities; and
(1)(a)(v) other types of emergency medical service providers as the bureau considers necessary; and
(1)(b) nonemergency secured behavioral health transport providers.
(2)The bureau shall, based on the requirements in Subsection (1), issue designations to emergency medical service providers and nonemergency secured behavioral health transport providers listed in Subsection (1).
