Text

(1)To promote the availability of comprehensive emergency medical services throughout the state, the bureau shall establish:
(1)(a) initial and ongoing licensure and training requirements for emergency medical service personnel in the following categories:
(1)(a)(i) paramedic;
(1)(a)(ii) advanced emergency medical services technician;
(1)(a)(iii) emergency medical services technician;
(1)(a)(iv) emergency medical responder;
(1)(a)(v) behavioral emergency services technician; and
(1)(a)(vi) advanced behavioral emergency services technician;
(1)(b) a method to monitor the certification status and continuing medical education hours for emergency medical dispatchers; and
(1)(c) guidelines for giving credit for out-of-state training and experience.
