Text
(1)The bureau shall establish by rule:
(1)(a) trauma center designation requirements; and
(1)(b) model state guidelines for triage, treatment, transportation, and transfer of trauma patients to the most appropriate health care facility.
(2)The bureau shall designate as a trauma center each hospital that:
(2)(a) voluntarily requests a trauma center designation; and
(2)(b) meets the applicable requirements established pursuant to Subsection (1).
