Text

As used in this part:

(1)"Court" means a state, federal, or military court.
(2)"External jurisdiction" means:
(2)(a) a state of the United States not including Utah;
(2)(b) the United States federal government;
(2)(c) Indian country;
(2)(d) a United States territory;
(2)(e) the United States military; or
(2)(f) Canada, Australia, New Zealand, or the United Kingdom.
(3)"Indian country" means:
(3)(a) all land within the limits of an Indian reservation under the jurisdiction of the United States government, regardless of the issuance of any patent, and includes rights-of-way running through the reservation;
(3)(b) all dependent Indian communities within the borders of the United States whether within the original or subsequently acquired territory, and whether or not within the limits of a
