§ 4-32-102 — Purpose declaration.
Utah·Title 4 Utah Agricultural Code·Ch. 4-32 Utah Meat and Poultry Products Inspection and Licensing Act
(1)It is the purpose of this chapter to provide a meat and poultry inspection program in the state at least equal to the programs imposed under the:
(1)(a) Federal Meat Inspection Act, 21 U.S.C. Sec. 601 et seq.;
(1)(b) Poultry Products Inspection Act, 21 U.S.C. Sec. 451 et seq.;
(1)(c) Humane Slaughter Act, 7 U.S.C. Sec. 1901 et seq.; and
(1)(d) the Egg Product Inspection Act, 21 U.S.C. 1031 et seq.
(2)The commissioner shall administer and enforce this chapter to accomplish the purpose described in Subsection (1).
