Text

(1)The commissioner shall, by rule, prescribe continuing education requirements for a navigator.
(2)(2)(a) The commissioner may not require a degree from an institution of higher education as part of continuing education.
(2)(b) The commissioner may state a continuing education requirement in terms of hours of instruction received in:
(2)(b)(i) accident and health insurance;
(2)(b)(ii) qualification for and enrollment in public programs;
(2)(b)(iii) qualification for and enrollment in premium subsidies;
(2)(b)(iv) cultural competency;
(2)(b)(v) conflict of interest standards; and
(2)(b)(vi) other exchange functions.
(3)(3)(a) For a navigator line of authority, continuing education requirements shall require:
(3)(a)(i) that a licensee complete 12 credit hours of continuing education for
