§ 31A-22-409 — Standard Nonforfeiture Law for Individual Deferred Annuities.

(1)This section is known as the "Standard Nonforfeiture Law for Individual Deferred Annuities."
(2)This section does not apply to:
(2)(a) reinsurance;
(2)(b) a group annuity purchased under a retirement plan or plan of deferred compensation:
(2)(b)(i) established or maintained by:
(2)(b)(i)(A) an employer, including a partnership or sole proprietorship;
(2)(b)(i)(B) an employee organization; or
(2)(b)(i)(C) both an employer and an employee organization; and
(2)(b)(ii) other than a plan providing individual retirement accounts or individual retirement annuities under Section 408, Internal Revenue Code;
(2)(c) a premium deposit fund;
(2)(d) a variable annuity;
(2)(e) an investment annuity;
(2)(f) an immediate annuity;
(2)(g) a deferred annuity contract after annuity payments have commenc
