Text

(1)An insurer shall consider the following factors to determine whether an investment portfolio or investment policy is prudent:
(1)(a) general economic conditions;
(1)(b) the possible effect of inflation or deflation;
(1)(c) the expected tax consequences of investment decisions or strategies;
(1)(d) the fairness or reasonableness of the terms of an investment considering the investment's:
(1)(d)(i) probable risk and reward characteristics; and
(1)(d)(ii) relationship to the investment portfolio as a whole;
(1)(e) the extent of the diversification of the insurer's investments among:
(1)(e)(i) individual investments;
(1)(e)(ii) classes of investments;
(1)(e)(iii) industry concentrations;
(1)(e)(iv) dates of maturity; and
(1)(e)(v) geographic areas;
(1)(f) the quality and liquidity of inves
