§ 26B-7-221 — Public reporting of health care associated infections.

(1)(1)(a) An ambulatory surgical facility, a general acute hospital, a specialty hospital, an end stage renal disease facility, and other facilities as required by rules of the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services shall give the department access to the facility's data on the incidence and rate of health care associated infections that the facility submits to the National Healthcare Safety Network in the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention pursuant to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services rules for infection reporting.
(1)(b) Access to data under this Subsection (1) may include data sharing through the National Healthcare Safety Network.
