Text

(1)As used in this section:
(1)(a) "Campaign" means a multimedia marketing strategy.
(1)(b) "CHAT" means the Communication Habits to reduce Adolescent Threats Pilot Program created in this section.
(2)There is created a Communication Habits to reduce Adolescent Threats, or CHAT, Pilot Program as described in this part.
(3)By no later than October 1, 2024, the department shall issue a request for proposals for the creation of a statewide CHAT campaign to:
(3)(a) increase public awareness of:
(3)(a)(i) the benefits of strong communication skills, particularly between a minor and the minor's parent or guardian; and
(3)(a)(ii) the harms associated with poor communication or a lack of communication; and
(3)(b) promote:
(3)(b)(i) the destigmatization of mental health issues;
(3)(b)(ii) the pe
