(1)(1)(a) Any responsible person who has reason to know that an individual is in need of commitment, who has a belief that the individual has an intellectual disability or related condition, and who has personal knowledge of the conditions and circumstances supporting that belief, may make a referral to the division to conduct an assessment to determine if the individual meets the criteria for involuntary commitment under this section.
(1)(b) (1)(b)(i) To conduct an assessment of an individual who may be in need of commitment under this section, the division shall have two designated intellectual disability professionals examine the individual.
(1)(b)(ii) The examinations described in Subsection (1)(b)(i) shall be conducted separately and at a suitable location not likely to have a harmfu
