Text
(1)The department shall issue a request for proposals for a person to conduct a comprehensive study of wait times and barriers to accessing pediatric mental health care in Utah, which shall:
(1)(a) measure and analyze the average time between a child's initial referral to a mental health appointment and the date of the first available appointment;
(1)(b) identify factors affecting wait times, including:
(1)(b)(i) geographic location;
(1)(b)(ii) insurance type;
(1)(b)(iii) provider availability;
(1)(b)(iv) specialty care needs; and
(1)(b)(v) other relevant barriers to access;
(1)(c) compare wait times across different:
(1)(c)(i) geographic regions of the state;
(1)(c)(ii) types of mental health providers;
(1)(c)(iii) practice settings; and
(1)(c)(iv) payment models;
(1)(d) include both qua
