(1)As used in this section:
(1)(a) "Director" means the director of the office appointed under Subsection (2).
(1)(b) "Office" means the Office of Families.
(2)(2)(a) The governor shall appoint a director of the office.
(2)(b) The director serves at the pleasure of the governor.
(2)(c) The governor shall establish the director's salary within the salary range fixed by the Legislature in Title 67, Chapter 22, State Officer Compensation.
(3)The director is the administrative head of the office and shall serve as an advisor to the governor on family issues.
(4)The office shall:
(4)(a) promote policies and develop initiatives which support the needs of families and children;
(4)(b) analyze the impact of laws, government policies, boards, commissions, rules and regulations, and policy propo
