Text

(1)(1)(a) "Director" means the director of the office appointed under Subsection (3).
(1)(b) "Office" means the Office of American Indian-Alaska Native Health and Family Services created in Subsection (2).
(2)There is created within the department the Office of American Indian-Alaska Native Health and Family Services.
(3)The executive director shall appoint a director of the office who:
(3)(a) has a bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college;
(3)(b) is experienced in administration; and
(3)(c) is knowledgeable about the areas of American Indian-Alaska Native practices.
(4)(4)(a) The director is the administrative head of the office and shall serve under the supervision of the executive director.
(4)(b) The executive director may hire staff as necessary to carry out the
