§ 23A-4-905 — Fur dealer and fur dealer's agent -- Certificates of registration required -- Receipts required.

(1)(1)(a) A person engaging in, carrying on, or conducting, wholly or in part, the business of buying, selling, trading, or dealing, within the state, in the skins or pelts of furbearing mammals is considered a fur dealer within the meaning of this title.
(1)(b) A fur dealer shall secure a fur dealer certificate of registration from the division, except a certificate of registration is not required for:
(1)(b)(i) a licensed trapper or fur farmer selling skins or pelts that the licensed trapper or fur farmer has lawfully taken or raised; or
(1)(b)(ii) a person who is not a fur dealer and who purchases skins or pelts described in Subsection (1)(b)(i) exclusively for the person's own use and not for sale.
