Text

(1)An individual while hunting a species of big game shall wear, on the exterior so the item can be seen, one or more of the following items that are primarily hunter orange material, except as provided in Subsection (2):
(1)(a) a hat;
(1)(b) a shirt;
(1)(c) a jacket;
(1)(d) a coat;
(1)(e) a vest; or
(1)(f) a sweater.
(2)An individual is not required to wear a hunter orange item described in Subsection (1):
(2)(a) during the following types of hunts, unless a centerfire rifle hunt is in progress in the same area:
(2)(a)(i) archery;
(2)(a)(ii) muzzle-loader;
(2)(a)(iii) mountain goat;
(2)(a)(iv) bighorn sheep;
(2)(a)(v) bison; or
(2)(a)(vi) moose; or
(2)(b) as provided by a rule of the Wildlife Board made in accordance with Title 63G, Chapter 3, Utah Administrative Rulemaking Act.
