Text

(1)The director shall, in connection with this chapter and rules of the board adopted under this part:
(1)(a) develop programs to promote and protect the public from radiation sources in the state;
(1)(b) advise, consult, cooperate with, and provide technical assistance to another agency, a state, the federal government, a political subdivision, an industry, or another person in carrying out this part;
(1)(c) receive specifications or other information relating to a licensing application for radioactive material or registration of a radiation source for review, approval, disapproval, or termination;
(1)(d) issue a permit, license, registration, certification, or other administrative authorization;
(1)(e) review and approve a plan;
(1)(f) assess a penalty in accordance with Section 19-3-1
