§ 17B-1-805 — Human resource management requirement.
Utah·Title 17B Limited Purpose Local Government Entities - Special Districts·Ch. 17B-1 Provisions Applicable to All Special Districts·Part 17B-1-8 Special District Personnel Management
(1)As used in this section:
(1)(a) "Governing body" means the same as that term is defined in Section 17B-1-201.
(1)(b) "Human resource management duties" means the exercise of human resource management functions and responsibilities, including:
(1)(b)(i) complying with federal and state employment law;
(1)(b)(ii) administering compensation and benefits; and
(1)(b)(iii) ensuring employee safety.
(1)(c) "Human resource management training" means a program designed to instruct an individual on the performance of human resource management duties.
(2)If a special district has full or part-time employees, the governing body shall:
(2)(a) adopt human resource management policies;
(2)(b) assign human resource management duties to one of the district's employees or another person; and
