§ 17B-1-416 — Automatic annexation to a district providing fire protection, paramedic, and emergency services or law enforcement service.
Utah·Title 17B Limited Purpose Local Government Entities - Special Districts·Ch. 17B-1 Provisions Applicable to All Special Districts·Part 17B-1-4 Annexation
(1)An area outside the boundaries of a special district that is annexed to a municipality under Title 10, Chapter 2, Part 8, Annexation, or added to a municipality by a boundary adjustment under Title 10, Chapter 2, Part 9, Municipal Boundary Adjustments, is automatically annexed to the special district if:
(1)(a) the special district provides:
(1)(a)(i) fire protection, paramedic, and emergency services; or
(1)(a)(ii) law enforcement service;
(1)(b) the special district is located in a county of the first class, but not otherwise, an election for the creation of the special district was not required because of Subsection 17B-1-214(3)(d); and
(1)(c) before the municipal annexation or boundary adjustment, the entire municipality that is annexing the area or adding the area by boundary adju
