§ 17-78-501 — Counties may provide municipal services -- First-class counties to provide certain services -- Counties allowed to provide certain services in recreational areas.

(1)For purposes of thispart, "municipal-type services" means:
(1)(a) fire protection service;
(1)(b) waste and garbage collection and disposal;
(1)(c) planning and zoning;
(1)(d) street lighting;
(1)(e) animal services;
(1)(f) storm drains;
(1)(g) traffic engineering;
(1)(h) code enforcement;
(1)(i) business licensing;
(1)(j) building permits and inspections;
(1)(k) in a county of the first class:
(1)(k)(i) advanced life support and paramedic services; and
(1)(k)(ii) detective investigative services; and
(1)(l) all other services and functions that are required by law to be budgeted, appropriated, and accounted for from a municipal services fund or a municipal capital projects fund as defined under Chapter 63, Fiscal Authority and Processes.
