Utah Statutes
§ 17-72-403 — Special guards for county jail.
(1)The sheriff when necessary may with the assent of the county executive employ a temporary guard for the protection of the county jail, or for the safekeeping of prisoners.
(2)The expenses of a temporary guard employed under Subsection (1) shall be a county charge.
