Text

(1)An officer under this part who is an officer, director, agent, or employee, or owner of a substantial interest in a business entity that does or anticipates doing business with the county in which the officer is appointed or elected shall:
(1)(a) publicly disclose:
(1)(a)(i) the conflict of interest to the members of the body of which the officer is a member immediately before a discussion by the body on matters relating to the business entity; and
(1)(a)(ii) the nature of the officer's interest in the business entity; and
(1)(b) for an officer who is an elected officer, file a sworn statement describing the conflict of interest with the county clerk.
(2)The public disclosure described in Subsection (1)(a) shall be entered in the minutes of the meeting where an officer makes the publ
