Text

(1)The county executive may settle and allow all accounts legally chargeable against the county, after examination by the county auditor, and order warrants to be drawn on the county treasurer for those accounts.
(2)Each warrant drawn by order of the county executive on the county treasurer for current expenses during each year shall specify:
(2)(a) the liability for which it is drawn;
(2)(b) when it accrued; and
(2)(c) the funds from which it is to be paid.
(3)Each warrant shall be paid in the order of presentation to the county treasurer.
(4)If the money in the county treasury is insufficient to pay a warrant, the county treasurer shall:
(4)(a) register the warrant; and
(4)(b) pay the warrant in the order of registration.
