§ 17-63-502 — Expenditure limitation.
Utah·Title 17 Counties·Ch. 17-63 Fiscal Authority and Processes·Part 17-63-5 Purchases, Payments, and Costs Between Counties
(1)No county officer or county employee may make any expenditure or encumbrance in excess of the total appropriation for any department.
(2)Any obligation that is contracted by a county officer or county employee in excess of the total departmental appropriation is:
(2)(a) the personal obligation of the officer or employee; and
(2)(b) unenforceable against the county.
