Text

(1)A county governing body may reduce a budget appropriation for any department for any purpose other than to transfer funds to another department by resolution, if:
(1)(a) five days' notice of the proposed reduction is given to all members of the governing body and to the director of the affected department; and
(1)(b) the director of the affected department is permitted to be heard on the proposed reduction.
(2)The notice requirements of Subsection (1) may be waived in writing by the affected department or by any member of the governing body.
