Sec. 51.755. APPLICATION TO EXCLUDE LAND.

(a)A petition for exclusion of land under Sections 51.748 through 51.758 of this code must accurately describe the land to be excluded by metes and bounds or by reference to a plat recorded in the plat records of the county or counties in which the original district is located.
(b)The petition must be signed by the owner or owners of the land to be excluded, or by at least 10 percent of the owners of the land to be excluded, or by five or more of the owners if the number of owners is more than 50, and must be filed with the district at least 15 days before the hearing on the petition for exclusion and shall clearly state the particular grounds on which the exclusion is sought.
