Sec. 163.077. ELECTION FOR ADDITION OF PUBLIC ENTITY.

(a)Public entities may not adopt concurrent ordinances under Section 163.076 adding a participating public entity unless the addition has been approved by a majority of the qualified voters of the additional public entity at an election called and held for that purpose.
(b)Notice of an election under this section shall be given in accordance with Section 1251.003 , Government Code. The election shall be called and held in accordance with:
(1)the Election Code;
(2)Chapter 1251 , Government Code; and
(3)this subchapter.
