Sec. 8508.0102. EFFECT OF POWERS OF AUTHORITY ON POWERS OF OTHER DISTRICTS; COORDINATION AND JOINT UNDERTAKINGS AMONG DISTRICTS.

(a)The powers granted to the authority by this chapter are not intended to restrict the powers of any conservation and reclamation district created under Section 59 , Article XVI, Texas Constitution, inside the basin or area of the authority. It is the legislature's intent that the authority and those districts exercise their respective powers in a cooperative manner.
(b)A district created under Section 59 , Article XVI, or Sections 52 (b)(1) and (2), Article III, Texas Constitution, on or before August 29, 1985, may:
(1)coordinate its plans with the authority; and
(2)enter into joint undertakings with the authority for the purposes for which the entities are
