Sec. 8282.157. GENERAL CONTRACTING AUTHORITY.

(a)The district may contract with the United States, this state or its agencies, the city, any other public agency or entity, or an individual, corporation, or other entity for the operation and maintenance or the construction of any facility or improvement authorized by this chapter.
(b)A contract that obligates the district to make payments in whole or in part from ad valorem taxes, other than maintenance taxes, is subject to approval at an election held under the same procedures required for the issuance of bonds payable from ad valorem taxes.
