Sec. 3893.254. GOVERNING CONSOLIDATED DISTRICTS.

(a)After two districts are consolidated, they become one district and are governed as one district.
(b)During the period before the terms and conditions of the agreement under Section 3893.252 take effect, the officers of each district shall continue to act jointly as officers of the original districts to settle the affairs of their respective districts.
(c)If one of the districts consolidated into one district under this subchapter had powers at the time the districts were consolidated that the other district being consolidated did not have, the consolidated district may exercise within the original boundaries of each district only the powers that belonged to that original district.
