Sec. 21.214. BIDS ON CONTRACTS FOR PURCHASE OF VEHICLES, EQUIPMENT, AND SUPPLIES OVER $15,000; EXCEPTION.

(a)If the estimated amount of a proposed contract to purchase vehicles, equipment, or supplies is more than $15,000, the board shall ask for competitive bids as provided by Subchapter B , Chapter 271 , Local Government Code.

(b)This section does not apply to:

(1)the purchase of property from a public agency; or
