Sec. 1116.253. ELECTION TO INCREASE MAXIMUM TAX RATE; ORDER; NOTICE; BALLOT.

(a)The board may order an election to increase the district's maximum tax rate to a rate not to exceed 75 cents on each $100 valuation of all property in the district subject to district taxation.
(b)The maximum tax rate may not be increased unless the increase is approved by a majority of the district voters voting in an election held for that purpose.
(c)The board shall give notice of the election in the manner provided for a bond election under Section 1116.203 .
(d)The election order must provide for clerks as in county elections and must state:
(1)the date of the election;
(2)the location of the polling places;
(3)the form of the ballot; and
(4)the presiding judge and alternate judge for each polling
