Sec. 1087.254. ELECTION FOR SEPARATE TAX ASSESSOR AND SEPARATE TAX COLLECTOR.

(a)On receipt of a petition signed by at least five percent of the taxpaying voters in the district, the court may order an election to determine whether the district shall have a separate tax assessor and separate tax collector for the assessment and collection of district taxes.
(b)Notice of the election shall be given as required by Section 1087.052 .
