Sec. 66.304. PORT AUTHORITIES AND NAVIGATION DISTRICTS. It is the duty of the port authorities and navigation districts of this state to prevent the use of any port facility in a manner that they reasonably suspect may assist in the violation of this subchapter. They shall use all reasonable means, including the inspection of nautical logs, to ascertain from masters of newly arrived vessels of all types, other than warships of the United States, the presence of alien commercial fishing vessels within the coastal water of this state and shall promptly transmit the information to the department and to law enforcement agencies of this state as the situation may indicate. They shall request assistance from the United States Coast Guard in appropriate cases to prevent unauthorized departure fro
