Sec. 51.2094. PROGRAM ADVISORY BOARDS.

(a)The commission may establish an advisory board to advise the commission or the department regarding a program subject to regulation by the department.
(b)Unless otherwise provided by a law establishing a regulatory program administered by the department, the commission may establish:
(1)the number of advisory board members, provided that the number of members must be an odd number of three or more;
(2)the qualifications for an advisory board member; and
(3)the terms of advisory board members.
(c)Unless otherwise provided by a law establishing a regulatory program administered by the department, members of an advisory board shall be appointed by the presiding officer of the commission with the commission's approval.
