Sec. 258.202. ADVISORY COMMITTEE.
(a)The board shall establish an advisory committee to analyze and report on data and associated trends concerning anesthesia-related deaths or incidents as provided by this subchapter. The advisory committee consists of six members appointed by the board in the manner provided by Section 258.203 and must include:
(1)a general dentist;
(2)a dentist anesthesiologist;
(3)an oral and maxillofacial surgeon;
(4)a pediatric dentist;
(5)a physician anesthesiologist; and
(6)a periodontist.
(b)In appointing members to the advisory committee, the board shall maintain a balanced representation of general dentists and specialists to ensure the advisory committee has expertise with respect to each permit category.
