Sec. 1103.2031. CRIMINAL HISTORY RECORD INFORMATION REQUIREMENT.

(a)The board by rule may require that an applicant for a certificate or license or renewal of an unexpired certificate or license submit a complete and legible set of fingerprints, on a form prescribed by the board, to the board or to the Department of Public Safety for the purpose of obtaining criminal history record information from the Department of Public Safety or the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
(b)If the board implements the requirement under Subsection (a), the board may not issue a certificate or license to or renew the certificate or license on active status of an applicant who does not comply with that requirement.
